The scoring page is the centerpiece of your PoE experience. It gives you, at a glance, the most important information about the proof record. No replays for instructors to pretend to sit through or charts designed to give learning performance details. Those solutions already exist and mean nothing, if you can't verify that the work is authentically human made. PoE does one thing: prove with a high degree of certainty that the document was mindcrafted, proving it was created through human cognitive effort and whether that effort resembles the detailed iterative work of high stakes submissions such as school work, legal documents, publishing and other IP situations.

However, it's good to focus on what the cognitive engagement numbers mean. This metric reflects the cycle of pauses and types of activity you engage in during a writing session. These patterns reflect specific cognitive states: Thinking up new ideas, Turning those ideas into words, Physically typing those words and looking back on your words and Adjusting them. This is not an excellence meter. You score higher the more AVERAGE you seem to think while typing, and you score lower the further to the extremes of perfect or chaotic you go. It's difficult for one person to score perfectly average on every metric, so consider a score in the upper 50's to upper 60's to be normal of significant effort.
Not all effort is equal. Some kinds of writing require particularly low effort such as journaling, stream of consciousness free writing and copying off another text, a.k.a. transcribing. The Transcription Signal is a subset of your cognitive score. It first divides the document up into sections, depending on the length of the document. The smallest sections start at approx. 600 words. Each section is measured separately with a result and a confidence level. PoE is like an accounting ledger. Once behavior has been recorded and the document saved, there's no way to change it. Trying to pretend to write authentically gets harder and harder the more you write, so it's better just to write authentically, when that is being asked of you.
The straight truth is that this program is for honest writers who want insurance against false accusations and want to truthfully document the amount of effort they've put into it. Nothing about PoE is designed to stop you from using outside sources, including Ai. It just documents whatever is less originally YOUR writing, and lets you explain the details to the reviewer.
