I've been accused of using Ai. How do I prove I didn't?
If you wrote the work with PoE running, you already have your answer — score the document or share its sealed proof, and the record of your effort speaks for itself. If you wrote it without PoE, the honest truth is that PoE can't manufacture a record that was never made; retyping the work now would read as transcription, not composition, and we won't pretend otherwise. What PoE does is make sure this can't happen to your work again. From the moment it's installed, every document you write carries its own evidence — so the next time your authorship is questioned, the answer is already in the file.
How does a PoE proof actually clear me?
It hands the person questioning you something better than your word: examinable evidence. A PoE proof contains the measurements of your writing process — the pauses, revisions, and reconsideration that genuine composition leaves behind — sealed so they can't be altered. Whoever received your work can verify it in seconds on their own computer, for free, without trusting you or a simple badge of authenticity. They're not reading a verdict that says "human"; they're seeing the record of how the work was actually made, and drawing their own conclusion from it.
Can I protect myself before anyone questions my work?
Yes — and that's the better way to use it. PoE runs quietly from the moment you open a document, so you don't decide in advance which work might be challenged. You just write, and the record builds itself. Does PoE identify me or read what I wrote?
No to both. PoE never stores the text of your document, and it cannot identify you — it's non-biometric by design, measuring patterns against general human norms rather than building a profile of you. Your words can't be reconstructed from anything it keeps, and the proof reveals nothing about who you are, only that genuine human effort took place. What do I need, and what does it cost?
You need LibreOffice Writer, which is free, and a PoET license to record and create proofs of your work. Anyone you share a proof with pays nothing — verifying and scoring are always free and need no license. So the cost falls on the writer who wants to be able to prove their effort, while everyone who checks your work does so for free.
What if I pasted text or used dictation?
PoE records what happened and lets you explain the rest. Text that arrives without real typing — outside content you pasted in, pre-existing text such as from a template, or heavy autocomplete — shows up as unverified rather than as composed, because PoE can only attest to what it measured. That isn't a penalty; it's honesty. Use the tools you want to use, disclose what you used, and let the record show the genuine effort behind everything you actually wrote.
