PoEM is the upcoming application of the PoE method to music production software.

How the System Works

​

When a person composes or records using a keyboard or other digital instrument, their behavior leaves a trail, the natural rhythm of human timing, the non-linear back-and-forth of trying something, changing their mind, and trying again. These patterns are unique to human hands and human thought. A machine generating music doesn't produce them. Neither does importing a pre-made file.

The system captures those behavioral patterns as the work happens, without recording the music itself or anything private about the person creating it.
